Sony launches PlayStation apparel

Since the dawn of the PlayStation brand, Fans have created their own game based swag. Now Sony has stepped up to the plate to offer gamers the ability to buy their gaming apparel rather then make it themselves. Apparel makers Fortune Fashions, Bioworld and MJC will be heading up this project.
The new line of PlayStation centric apparel will be sold through the website IVGear.com, apparently. The first games to be made available on the merchandise are as followed; SOCOM; Jak; Twisted Metal; Ratchet & Clank; Gran Turismo; God of War; Resistance; PaRappaTheRapper; LittleBigPlanet; Heavenly Sword; and Uncharted. There will also be apparel simply featuring the PlayStation logo.
Shelly Gayner, Director of Licensing for SCEA, had this to say in the press release:
"PlayStation is an extremely strong and well-known brand. We feel that this is a great opportunity for us to satiate our core fans and extend and capitalize on PlayStation name recognition by creating a new line of apparel in connection with the PlayStation brands and our top franchise titles."
No release day has been set for the apparel's release.
