HD DVD on an up with increase in software market share, thanks to retailers drastically trying to shift their stock of HD DVDs

This week, HD DVD gained a small lead in software sales, although Sony still beat them by nearly 3-1 (74:26). This may come as a shock to fans of both sides but the reason behind this is quite simple. Sales! As HD DVD has been selling so bad lately, and as Warner exclusivity comes closer and closer (June 1st), retailers are doing everything they can to sell their HD DVDs before they become even less desirable, and have to sell them for even less in the "bargain" bin. I mean just look around, amazon, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble to name a few have and still are offering huge discounts to get rid of stock. So remember. Dont be fooled by the new figures. We are just too used to seeing numbers in the 80s vs teens!
